Mrs. Armeree Allen

Armeree "Ree" Allen, was born March 15, 1932 in Proctor, Arkansas to Gold Pierce (Smith) and Gus Pierce, Sr. In her early years, she gave her life to Christ, and grew up in the church singing in the choir and praising God’s Holy Name. Cooking was her passion, and she made her home welcoming to everyone. Caring for children was a joy of hers, and the kids enjoyed her so much that they didn't care to go home, because she made it feel like home. One of her specialties was homemade german chocolate cake, and everyone that truly knew her, knows that she was a great cook. She just simply loved making others happy with her God given talent of cooking. Each day she lived to please God, listening to spiritual music as she made her house a happy home. The joy of waking up on a Sunday morning for church was very special and dear to her. Serving each Sunday that she was able to with gladness in her heart and setting an example for others who surrounded her. Raising her pride and joy, Jarvis Mister, her one and only son in the church and teaching him how to be a man was a must. The teachings only a Mother could provide! Help came along the way when she married the love of her life, Milton Allen, who stepped in to be a father figure for her son. Taking care of her family came effortlessly; she was made for this! Spending time with her siblings & family ever so often brought great joy as well with offering a special dish that made for good conversation. She is preceded in death by her husband, Milton Allen, her parents Gold White and Gus Pierce, Sr., three sisters, Catherine Wesley, Rosie Williams and Ruby Collins, and two brothers, Gus Pierce, Jr. and Johnny Pierce. She leaves to cherish her memories, a son and daughter Jarvis & Elaine Mister (her saying was "I didn't lose a son, I gained a daughter"), her two grandchildren, Elana L. Mister and Jarvis M. Mister Jr., six sisters Leaner Ann Richardson of Parkin, AR, Ora Lee Dale of Memphis, TN, Anna Jean Clopton (Ardell) and Debra Kyle (James) of Aberdeen, MS, Henrietta Smith (Daniel) and Louise Julien both of Milwaukee, WI. She also leaves three brothers, James Pierce (Lynette), and Abraham Pierce of Aberdeen, MS, and William Pierce (Elaine) of Edgewood, MD. She also leaves two special God-children, Sean Patterson and Alicia Patterson of Parkin, AR, who were dear to her heart. There are also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, whom she loved that will cherish her memory forever.
